Live Chat is a real-time chat plugin for Botble CMS that adds a floating chat widget to your website. Visitors start conversations instantly, support agents respond from a dedicated Agent Portal, and admins manage everything from the admin panel — no third-party services or monthly fees required.

Built with Laravel and jQuery, the plugin features a separate agent portal with dashboard and messenger, auto-assign (round-robin), webhook integrations (Slack, Discord, n8n, Zapier), working hours scheduling, per-agent notification preferences, and full widget customization. Everything runs on your own server with zero external dependencies.

Great plugin! Really impressed with how clean and self-hosted this solution is - especially the dedicated Agent Portal and webhook integrations. The round-robin assignment and working hours automation are also very practical for real-world support teams. Suggestion for future improvement:
  • It would be amazing if the plugin could automatically detect the visitor’s preferred language (via IP/geolocation or browser settings), or allow selecting from a predefined language list. Then, integrate an AI-powered auto-translation layer so that:
  • Visitor messages are translated for agents in real-time
  • Agent replies are automatically translated back to the visitor’s language
  • This would significantly enhance global usability and reduce friction for international customers without requiring multilingual agents.

We really appreciate the feedback on the Agent Portal, webhook integrations, round-robin assignment, and working hours automation — these were designed specifically for real-world support teams, so it's great to hear they're hitting the mark.

Regarding auto-translation — this is a fantastic idea and aligns well with our roadmap. Here's what we're considering:

  • Language detection: Auto-detect visitor language via browser settings (navigator.language) and allow manual selection from a predefined language list in the chat widget.
  • Real-time translation for agents: Visitor messages would be translated automatically in the Agent Portal, so agents can read and respond in their preferred language.
  • Auto-translate replies: Agent responses would be translated back to the visitor's language before delivery, enabling seamless multilingual support without requiring multilingual staff.

This would integrate with AI translation APIs to ensure high-quality, context-aware translations for customer support conversations.

We'll prioritize this for an upcoming release. Stay tuned!
